[announce] GeoMapApp 1.5.8 released

Dear GeoMapApp user -

After further testing and feedback from users, we have released a 
new version, 1.5.8, with minor fixes.  The release is available at:

   http://www.geomapapp.org/

Click "Download Options", select your operating system, and click "AGREE"
at the bottom of the page.  Alternatively, if you launch your existing
version of GeoMapApp, you will be prompted to download the newest version.


KEY UPDATES

 - Grid images now load correctly for the "gravity" and "geoid" grids.
 - The WFS interface correctly decodes urls in feature instances.
 - Java 1.5 (aka 5.0) is now required for Mac users. OS X will install
   Java 1.5 automatically via "Software Update".


OTHER NEWS

The GeoMapApp developers just returned from the Geoinformatics 2007
conference in San Diego, where they presented a poster and demo:

OGC web services were a major theme at the meeting, and GeoMapApp's
new Web Feature Service (WFS) functionality was well-received.
